The Salve Regina University men's lacrosse team scored five straight goals spanning halftime and hung on late for a 7-6 non-conference victory over visiting SUNY Maritime.

The Seahawks scored five straight goals spanning halftime to from down 3-2 to up 7-3. Andrew Fera scored three of his four goals during this stretch with Pat Leary (Wakefield, Mass.) and Ethan Robson (Lincoln, R.I.) adding the other tallies to round out the Seahawks scoring for the evening.

  • The Privateers refused to give up down the stretch, scoring three straight in the final 3:36 to make the Seahawks sweat. Brett Daigle (West Sayvill,e N.Y.) scored to bring the visitors within one, however there was only eight seconds left. The Privateers could not get a clean faceoff win and the Seahawks were able to run off the final seconds and seal the victory.
