NEWPORT, R.I. - Junior attack Nick LoCicero (Lynbrook, N.Y.)  has been selected a third team All-Conference attack for the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC).

LoCicero leads both the Seahawks and the CCC in assists with 48. LoCicero has led the Seahawks in assists for three straight seasons.

LoCicero has also set a new program record for points in a career and is closing in on resetting his own single season record for points when the Seahawks face off against the U. of New England in the playoffs this weekend.

LoCicero currently has 201 career points (60 goals, 141 assists) breaking Chris Walker's record of 141 goals and 51 assists from 2009-2012. As a freshman LoCicero set the single season record for points with 78 points (15 goals, 63 assists). Presently he has 76 points in 2016 ahead of this weekends CCC quarterfinal.

"We are so proud of Nick and him breaking the all-time point scoring record," said head coach Pat Cooney. "Even in the recruitment process of Nick, I knew he would have a competitive desire to push himself, his teammates, and our program to new heights.  Nick has been an exemplary student-athlete helping all Salve athletics through SAAC and his game management duties."

"What a great achievement this is for Nick and his teammates," said associate head coach Dave Haddland. "To achieve the all-time leading point for Salve Regina men's lacrosse, these past three years, shows how hard work pays off. Congratulations to Nick and his family."

"I'm happy to see Nick set the new record," said Chris Walker, whose record LoCicero broke. "He's a tremendous player to watch and as an alumnus you love to see the program excelling to new levels. Breaking these types of benchmarks can only be a positive for the overall growth and success of the program. I will be cheering Nick and the rest of the team on as they advance to the CCC playoffs this Saturday."

Salve Regina (11-6, 4-4 CCC) will travel to Biddeford, Maine to face the Nor'easters (10-7, 5-3 CCC) on April 30 at 3 p.m.
