CCC Specialist of the Week: Jake Gonzalez

NEWPORT, R.I. - Salve Regina University men's lacrosse junior Jake Gonzalez (Tolland, Conn.) has earned the Specialist of the Week award for the Commonwealth Coast Conference(CCC).

Gonzalez won 34 of his 51 (66.7 percent) face offs this week as the Seahawks went undefeated in three non-conference games. The junior won 12 of 14 (85. 7 percent) against Mitchell on Tuesday (March 1) and 19 of 26 (73.1 percent) on Saturday (March 5). Gonzalez also collected 15 total groundballs on the week.

Salve Regina (5-0) will host Johnson & Wales University on March 9 at 7 p.m. in another non-conference match.
