Season opener moved to Friday

The Salve Regina men's lacrosse team will open the 2013 season against Hartwick on Feb. 22 at 3 p.m.
The Salve Regina men's lacrosse team will open the 2013 season against Hartwick on Feb. 22 at 3 p.m.

NEWPORT, R.I. - Due to impending winter weather this weekend, the Salve Regina men's lacrosse season opener has been moved up a day. The Seahawks will square off against Hartwick on Friday, Feb. 22 to kickoff the 2013 season.

The opening faceoff is set for 3 p.m. at Gaudet Field on the campus of Middletown Middle School. 

Originally scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 23, the Seahawks and Hawks agreed to move contest up a day to avoid any winter weather scheduled to come through Rhode Island this weekend.
