Chris Walker earns ECAC Player of the Week honors

NEWPORT, R.I. - Salve Regina University men's lacrosse sophomore Chris Walker (Marshfield, Mass.) been named Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III New England Offensive Player of the Week. He shares the honor with D.J. Hessler of Tufts University.

 

Walker tallied 16 points (9-7-16) to lead the Seahawks to a 2-1 record last week. He began the week with two goals and an assist in a 12-9 loss to Babson on Tuesday, March 16. Two days later, he set up four goals in a 7-3 win over Salem State. The sophomore closed the week with nine points (5-4-9) in an 18-7 win over conference foe Wentworth on Saturday.

 

On Monday, Walker was named The Commonwealth Coast Conference (TCCC) Offensive Player of the Week for the second-consecutive week. He leads the Seahawks in goals (22), assists (16), points (38), and shots (79).

 

The Seahawks (4-4, 1-1 TCCC) return to action Wednesday afternoon when they travel to Dudley, Mass. for a 4 p.m. contest with Nichols.
