Walker named TCCC Player of the Week for third time in 2010

NEWPORT, R.I. - Salve Regina University sophomore Chris Walker (Marshfield, Mass.) has been named The Commonwealth Coast Conference (TCCC) men's lacrosse Player of the Week for the third time this season.

 

Walker recorded eight points (6-2-8) in a 17-9 win over Curry College on Saturday. He potted five goals in the first half, one in the second, and added one assist in each stanza. Walker scored on 89 percent of his shots on net (six goals on seven shots) and also collected three ground balls.

 

On the season, Walker leads the Seahawks and the conference with 44 goals and three game-winning goals, ranks first on the team and second in TCCC with 66 points, and first on SRU and third in the conference with 22 assists.

 

The Seahawks (8-6, 5-3 TCCC) return to action on Thursday when they travel to Endicott for a 4 p.m. game on Thursday.
