NEWPORT, R.I. - The Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) has selected Salve Regina University senior Blake Wojtala (Trenton, Mich.) as its Goalie of the Week (Nov. 19-25).

Wojtala was superb again for Salve Regina as the Seahawks put together a 2-0 week. Wojtala backstopped his team to the Skidmore Thanksgiving Invitational Championship with a pair of 30-plus-save showings. He made 31 saves in a 4-1 win over Bryn Athyn before turning away 33 shots in the championship game against the hosts. He finished the invitational with a 1.50 goals-against average and a .955 save-percentage.


Salve Regina (6-1-1, 4-1-1 CCC) returns to action on Friday, November 30, when it travels to face Becker College in a Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) matchup at 7 p.m.
