Seahawks double-up Gulls 6-3

BEVERLY, Mass. – The No. 8/10 nationally ranked Salve Regina University men's ice hockey team defeated Endicott College, 6-3, on Friday night in conference action at Raymond J. Bourque Arena.

Over the first 25 minutes of play, Salve Regina jumped out to a three goal lead via one goal in the first period (14:54) and two more in the second (1:20 | 4:18) and never looked back.

Meanwhile, the Gulls received goals from Joseph Slovak (South Yarmouth, Mass.), Jason Kalinowski (Stamford, Conn.), and Tommy Besinger (Milton, Mass.) in the loss. Conor O'Brien (Pinellas Park, Fla.) also stopped 35 shots in goal for Endicott. It marks the third 30-plus-save game of this career.

Salve Regina sophomore forward Paul Boutoussov (Dana Point, Calif.) registered his second career hat-trick in the win tonight. Seahawks netminder Blake Wojtala (Trenton, Mich.) made 59 saves for the Seahawks (3-1-1). It marks his first 50-plus-save performance of the season.

The Seahawks are 6-2-0 in the all-time series against Endicott and have never lost at Raymond J. Bourque Arena (5-0-0).

Endicott (3-2-1, 3-2-0 CCC) travels to No. 8/10 Salve Regina (3-1-1, 3-1-1 CCC) tomorrow at 4 p.m.
