Seahawks ranked sixth and seventh in latest national polls

 

NEWPORT, R.I. - The Salve Regina University men's ice hockey team has been ranked sixth in the nation by d3Hockey.com and seventh by USCHO.com in the latest poll.

The Seahawks dropped their season opener to the University of New England by a 3-0 final on Friday at the Portsmouth Abbey, but returned the favor the following night, defeating UNE on its home ice by scoring three unanswered goals for a 3-1 comeback victory in Biddeford, Maine.

Salve Regina (1-1-0, 1-1-0 CCC) will next take to the ice on Friday, November 9 when it hosts Curry College for the first game of another Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) weekend series.
