NEWPORT, R.I. - The Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) has selected Salve Regina University sophomore Jack Billings (Oak Lawn, Ill.) as its Player of the Week for men's ice hockey (Nov. 13-19).

Player of the Week - Billings kept his hot scoring streak going this weekend in Salve Regina's CCC home-and-home sweep of the University of New England. He scored five goals and registered two assists over the pair of contests, giving him seven points on the week. Three of those points came in the opener as Billings potted two tallies and dished out one assist. In the second game, he had a hat trick and a helper. Included in his five scores were the game-winners in both contests. Billings has now recorded a point in every game this season and his 1.86 points per game currently ranks seventh in Division III.

Billings is the second Seahawk honoree this season; last week junior Blake Wojtala took home goaltender of the week accolades.

Salve Regina (6-1, 5-1 CCC) has won five straight and heads to Utica, N.Y., after Thanksgiving to play against Morrisville University (Fri. 24) and Utica College (Sat. 25).
