CCC Goaltender of the Week: Blake Wojtala
NEWPORT, R.I. - The Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) selected Salve Regina University junior Blake Wojtala (Trenton, Mich.) as its Goaltender of the Week (Nov. 6-12).
CCC Goaltender of the Week - Wojtala picked up two CCC wins for Salve Regina this week as the Seahawks bested Suffolk in both ends of the home-and-home. In the opener, Wojtala made 31 saves while allowing one goal and then he made 27 saves on the road. He finished the week with a 1.60 goals-against average and a .951 save percentage. His 4-1-0 record ranks first in the CCC.
The Seahawks (4-1-0, 3-1-0 CCC) host the University of New England on Friday, November 17 (7 p.m), at the Portsmouth Abbey before traveling to Biddeford, Maine, on Saturday to faceoff against the Nor'easters again (7 p.m.).

Salve Regina athletics sponsors 20 NCAA Division III varsity sports for men and women. The Seahawks compete in the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC - baseball, men's and women's basketball, men's and women's cross country, field hockey, football, men's ice hockey, men's and women's lacrosse, men's and women's soccer, softball, men's and women's tennis, women's track and field, women's volleyball), New England Hockey Conference (NEHC - women's ice hockey), New England Intercollegiate Sailing Association (NEISA - sailing). Beginning in 2017-18, Salve Regina will also sponsor equestrian as a varsity sport, and adds junior varsity programs for baseball and men's lacrosse.
