ECAC Player of the Week: Lucas Sousa

Sousa is the third Seahawk to earn ECAC Player of the Week honors this season.

CENTERVILLE, Mass. - Salve Regina men's ice hockey sophomore Lucas Sousa (Billerica, Mass.) has been named the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Northeast Player of the Week, as announced by the league office Monday evening.

Sousa helped the Seahawks to a 2-0 week, including a 6-3 win over Curry and a 4-1 win over Western New England. Salve Regina's win over Curry was the first one since the 2000-2001 season.

The sophomore defender had a pair of assists in the win over Curry and added two more in the win over Western New England. Sousa is tied for eighth in the conference with four assists on the season.

Salve Regina returns to the ice when the Seahawks travel to Hartford, Conn. to face off against Trinity on Saturday, November 30 at 4 p.m.
