CENTERVILLE, Mass. - The Salve Regina men's ice hockey team landed a program-best 11 players on the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Northeast All-Academic team, as announced by the conference office.

PORTSMOUTH, R.I. - Junior goal Derek Mohney (Amherst, N.Y.) made 37 saves and allowed just one goal as visiting Curry College (11-13-2) defeated Salve Regina University, 4-1, in ECAC Northeast men's ice hockey championships quarterfinal at Portsmouth Abbey.

The four Seahawk captains, Alex Barr, Scott McMenimen, John Scorcia and David Watkins are set to lead SRU in its first ever home playoff game.

NEWPORT, R.I. - The 2013-14 Salve Regina men's ice hockey team has done something no other team has done in program history - earn the number three seed in the ECAC Northeast tournament and the right to host the opening round game of the playoffs.

PORTSMOUTH, R.I. – Freshman Jonathan Felteau (Peabody, Mass.) scored a shorthanded and a power play goal to lift Salve Regina to a 3-1 win over Western New England in ECAC Northeast action Wednesday night. The win improved the Seahawks to 11-13 on the year, tying the most wins in a season for Salve Regina, and 9-4 in the conference. With the loss, the Golden Bears slip to 10-13 on the year and 4-8 in the league.

Sophomore David Chiokadze has 185 saves on the season.

CENTERVILLE, Mass. - After a snow-shortened week, the Salve Regina men's ice hockey team earned two and the three weekly ECAC Northeast awards as junior John Scorcia (Hudson, Fla.) and sophomore David Chiokadze (Langhorne, Pa.) were named Player and Goalie of the Week, respectively, as announced by the conference office Monday evening.

PORTSMOUTH, R.I. – Sophomore David Chiokadze (Langhorne, Pa.) posted his first collegiate shutout as the Salve Regina men’s ice defeated Nichols, 1-0, in ECAC Northeast action at the Portsmouth Abbey Monday night. Sophomore Marc Biggs (Plano, Texas) scored the games-lone goal to lift the Seahawks to victory.

MARLBOROUGH, MASS. – Junior John Scorcia (Hudson, Fla.) moved into fourth place on the Salve Regina men’s ice hockey scoring list with a pair of goals and an assist as the Seahawks defeated Becker, 6-1, in ECAC Northeast action Wednesday night. With the win, Salve Regina improves to 9-13 on the season and 7-4 in the conference while the Hawks slip to 2-15-3 on the year and 1-6-3 in the league.

MILTON, Mass.- In an ECAC Northeast Conference match-up in men's ice hockey action on Saturday afternoon in Milton, Mass., Curry College lost to Salve Regina, 3-2 in overtime. With the loss, the Colonels fell to 8-11-2 overall and 4-6 conference play. The Seahawks improved to 8-13-0 overall and 6-4-0 in the ECAC Northeast.

Scorcia has sole possession of fifth in Salve Regina's history in scoring with 73 points.

BOSTON, Mass. -- Junior Tim Benedetto (Peabody, Mass.) snapped a second period tie with a power play goal to back a 44-save effort from sophomore Brandon Smolarek (Chesterfield, Mo.) that lifted Suffolk to a 5-2 ECAC Northeast ice hockey victory over Salve Regina Tuesday evening at Steriti Rink.
