CCC Rookie of the Week: Mikey Spencer

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - The Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) has selected Salve Regina University freshman Mikey Spencer (Abington, Mass.) as its Rookie of the Week for men's basketball (Jan. 7 - 13).

Rookie of the Week - Spencer shot over 50 percent from the floor this week and averaged 19.0 points per game. He also averaged 5.7 rebounds and 2.0 assists. He opened the week with 17 points in a loss to the University of New England before picking up back-to-back 20-point games against Western New England and Endicott. He made 22 of his 42 shot attempts including going 8-for-20 (40 percent) from downtown.

Salve Regina (7-9, 3-4 CCC) returns to conference action when it hosts Gordon College on Wednesday, January 16 (7:30 p.m.).
