SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - The Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) has selected Salve Regina University freshman Mikey Spencer (Abington, Mass.) as its Rookie of the Week for men's basketball (Dec. 31 - Jan. 6).

Rookie of the Week - Spencer  led the Seahawks in scoring during both games in an undefeated week. Against Curry, Spencer shot 64.3 percent (9-for-14) for 23 points, while improving to 76.9 percent (10-for-13) shooting for 30 points in a win versus Wentworth.

Salve Regina (6-7, 2-2 CCC) returns to conference action when it travels to University of New England on Tuesday (7 p.m.).
