NEWPORT, R.I. (July 19, 2019) -- Tyler Benjamin (Fitchburg, Mass.), Andrew Bronstein (Needham, Mass.), and Kevin Mannix (Barrington, R.I.) of the Salve Regina University men's basketball team have been named to the NABC Honors Court.

Mikey Spencer named CCC Rookie of the Year, All-CCC Third Team

NEWPORT, R.I. - Salve Regina University freshman Mikey Spencer (Abington, Mass.) caps off his debut season with the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Rookie of the Year Award for men's basketball. The honor comes as a result of votes from the league's nine head coaches who also selected Spencer to the All-CCC Third Team.

NEWPORT, R.I. - Senior guard Mikey Pettway (Bridgeport, Conn.) led five Golden Bears in double figures with a game-high 27 points as Western New England University defeated Salve Regina University, 93-80, in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) men's basketball action.

Echevarria streaks to NCAA record in Bison victory

NEWPORT, R.I. - Nichols College senior Marcos Echevarria (Lynn, Mass.), reigning two-time Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Player of the Year, sank a pair of first-half 3-pointers to extend his NCAA record for consecutive games with a made trey to 94 (best in all divisions) as the Bison defeated Salve Regina University men's basketball, 95-76, at the Rodgers Recreation Center.

BOSTON, Mass. – Sophomore Kyle Henseler (Coventry, R.I.) paced four players in double figures with 18 points as the Wentworth Institute of Technology men's basketball team fended off a late Salve Regina charge with a 66-59 in in Commonwealth Coast Conference action Saturday afternoon.

The Commonwealth Coast Conference teamed up with Hope Happens Here to sponsor a league-wide awareness night to combat the stigma that surrounds mental health.

Salve Regina University hosts Gordon College at the Rodgers Recreation Center in a CCC basketball doubleheader on Wednesday, January 16 (women tip off at 5:30 p.m.; men tip off at 7:30 p.m.).
Seahawks host Scots in Mental Health Awareness Games with H3 Foundation

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - The Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) men and women's basketball teams will be hosting games as part of a conference-wide initiative to raise mental health awareness. The event will be in partnership with Hope Happens Here (H3), a foundation dedicated to educating others on mental health issues. The games are scheduled for Wednesday, Jan. 16.
