CCC Rookie of the Week: Bryce Boggs

NEWPORT, R.I. - The Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) has selected Salve Regina University freshman Bryce Boggs (Hyde Park, Mass.) as its Rookie of the Week for men's basketball (Nov. 17-23).

Rookie of the Week - Boggs averaged 14.5 points, 3.5 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.5 steals in a 2-0 week for the Seahawks. Boggs collected a career-high 19 points, three rebounds and two assists in an 83-69 triumph over Wheaton. He added 10 points, four boards, three steals and two assists in a 65-62 victory over Worcester State. In the two victories, Boggs shot 46% (11-of-24) from the floor, including 55% (11-of-20) from inside the arc, and 78% (7-of-9) from the free-throw stripe.

Salve Regina (2-2; 0-0 CCC) hosts U.S. Coast Guard Academy on Tuesday (7:30 p.m.), breaks for Thanksgiving before returning for a home game against Rhode Island College on Saturday (1 p.m.). Both games will feature live stats and live video with play-by-play commentary from Andrew Pezzelli and Christian Lawber.
