SALVE REGINA VS. ENDICOTT
  • Endicott leads, 15-11, in a series that began in 1994.
  • Salve Regina swept the series in 2011-12 and again in 2012-13, but Endicott won the title match in 2012 and this season's first meeting on January 7, 2014 [Box Score].
  • John Henault led all players with 26 points in Endicott's 87-76 win over Salve Regina last month. Kamahl Walker came off the bench to score 16 points for the Gulls while Daquan Sampson had a dozen points in a starting role.
  • Patrick Dinneen (23), Barrett Hanlon (18), and Jeff Bielefeld (17) each scored in double figures during the road loss for Salve Regina, which had a slight 37-36 edge in rebounding on the night.

  • Salve Regina finished just ahead of Eastern Nazarene in the poll, a team the Seahawks lost to in first-round action of the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Men's Basketball Championships last season.

  • The Gulls have no players in the top five in any offensive category, but the team leads the league in 3-point field goal percentage (37.1%) and free-throw percentage (71.9%).
  • Barrett Hanlon, missing the last four games, is third in the CCC for scoring (17.5 ppg).
  • Pat Dinneen, Salve Regina's most-recent member of the 1,000-point club, comes in at fifth on the list (16.4 ppg).
  • Jeff Bielefeld is third in the CCC in rebounding (8.8 rpg) and second in field-goal percentage (53.8%).

  • 27 Salve Regina basketball alumni, with graduation years ranging from 1989 to 2013, attended HoopsFest 2014 on Saturday, January 25, 2014.
  • 12 former women's players and current assistant coach, Ashley Cerniglia, participated in the 40-minute alumni game (four 10-minute periods with running time).
  • 11 former men's players saw game action (12th-year head coach Sean Foster, and his former player from the Class of 2004, Greg Kawula, did not suit up).
  • From the Class of 1989, Sean Flanagan wore uniform No. 50, even though he's a few years shy of that age.
  • The class best-represented was 2011 with six players, which included the former Commonwealth Coast Conference Player of Year and current Wentworth assistant coach, Erin Phillips.
