Cody, Timms smash records in first 20 minutes

MIDDLETOWN, R.I. (September 14, 2019) -- Salve Regina University sophomore Eliza Timms (Agawam, Mass.) set a program record with 12 points in a 13-0 field hockey victory over visiting Dean College at Gaudet Field.

Timms tied a program record with her five-goal effort; three others have equalled the mark, first Caroline Galligan in 2006, then Amber Cody in 2017, and last year on the road the 2018 Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Offensive Player of the Year Ashley Cody (Pawling, N.Y.). The latter Cody had set the program record of 11 points in the October win at Johnson & Wales University. Today she also tallied 11 points with her four goals and two assists.

Timms assisted on two other Seahawk scores today. Taylor Bulis (Lakeville, Mass.), Olivia St. Jean (Goffstown, N.H.), Hannah Bedrosian (Seekonk, Mass.), and Kayla Ames (Foxboro, Mass.) completed the scoring by the 41st minute.

Salve Regina (4-1) improves to 4-0 at home this season while the Bulldogs fall to 1-2 overall.
