Foster names four Seahawks as captains for Salve Regina field hockey

NEWPORT, R.I. - Salve Regina University field hockey head coach Jennifer Foster announces her captains for the 2018 season: seniors Emma Gaudio (Cheshire, Conn.) and Ally Daly (Derry, N.H.) along with juniors Ashley Cody (Pawling, N.Y.) and Olivia St. Jean (Goffstown, N.H.).

"My staff and I are excited to work with these four players as they transition to leadership roles. We believe having two seniors and two juniors as captains will give us a unique dynamic with our team leadership. Each of these players possesses a unique skill set which will assist our team growth throughout the season as they provide a positive example for our group."

Foster enters her 12th season as the Seahawk head coach for field hockey. Salve Regina has double-digit victory totals in three of its last four seasons, including last year after finishing 10-8. Foster welcomes back second-year assistant coach Riley van der Velde.
