NEWPORT, R.I. - Synapse Sports selects Salve Regina University's Amber Cody as a 2017 All-American in field hockey.

Cody enjoyed a career year as a senior, leading the Seahawks for the second straight season in scoring (22 goals in 18 games; 1.22 goals per game) which included a program-tying five-goal effort during a win at Gordon College. The Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Offensive Player of the Year also led the league in assists (nine) while ranking second in goals and points (53). She'll graduate in May 2018 and ranks second all-time on the school's record books for career assists (25), third for career goals (43), and fourth for career points (111).

"Recognition on a national level is a great honor for Amber and our program. I couldn't be happier for her to continue receiving these honors after the strong senior season she had." - Salve Regina head coach Jennifer Foster

Salve Regina finished 10-8 overall and 7-5 in league play to qualify for the postseason as the No. 3 seed.
