CCC Offensive Player of the Week: Amber Cody

NEWPORT, R.I. - The Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) has selected Salve Regina University senior Amber Cody (Pawling, N.Y.) as its offensive player of the week for field hockey (Aug. 31 - Sep. 3).

Offensive Player of the Week - Cody got her senior season off to a great start with a seven-point performance against WPI, a 5-2 victory. Cody scored three goals and handed out one assist to give the Seahawks their first-ever win in Worcester. All four of Cody's shots were on-target and one of her tallies came on a penalty stroke.

The Seahawks (1-0) return to Worcester, Mass., on Thursday to face the Lancers of Worcester State University.
