NEWPORT, R.I. - Salve Regina University director of athletics Jody Mooradian bestowed dozens of awards to student-athletes and staff on Friday evening, including the department's female and male athletes of the year - senior Amber Cody (Pawling, N.Y.) of field hockey, and junior Blake Wojtala (Trenton, Mich.) of men's ice hockey.

NEWPORT, R.I. - The Salve Regina University field hockey team has been announced as a recipient of the 2017 Zag Field Hockey/National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division III National Academic Team Award, while eight Seahawk players were named to the 2017 NFHCA Academic Squad, including freshman Taylor Bulis (Lakeville, Mass.), sophomore Ashley Cody (Pawling, N.Y.), sophomore Hannah Filiault (Keene, N.H.), freshman Nicole Johnson (No. Easton, Mass.), freshman Ciara Labbe (Chichester, N.H.), senior Jessie Severino (Branford, Conn.), senior Brooke Tolley (Brookside, N.J.), and junior Hope Vaughn (Granby, Conn.). This marks the 11th consecutive year that the Salve Regina field hockey team has earned this honor.

The 10th Annual National Girls and Women in Sports Day (NGWSD) Multi-Sports Clinic will be Fri., April 6 (5:30 - 8 p.m.) in the Rodgers Recreation Center.

BEVERLY, Mass. – The second-seeded Endicott field hockey team scored three straight goals to begin the contest and never looked back in an eventual 5-1 Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Tournament semifinal round victory over No. 3 Salve Regina on Wednesday night at North Field.

MIDDLETOWN, R.I. - Sophomore Ashley Cody (Pawling, N.Y.) scored the game's first four goals and her sister Amber Cody (Pawling, N.Y.) assisted on two of them while adding her 21st goal of the season to lead the Seahawks to a 5-0 victory over the Hawks of Roger Williams University in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action at Gaudet Field.
