CCC Player of the Week: Abigail Tepper
NEWPORT, R.I. - The Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) has selected Salve Regina University junior Abigail Tepper (Foxboro, Mass.) as its Offensive Player of the Week for field hockey (October 27 - November 2).
Offensive Player of the Week - Tepper scored seven goals in a 2-0 week for the Seahawks. Tepper's most impressive performance came in a 7-5 victory over Nichols in which she registered four goals and one assist. Earlier in the week she had a hat-trick performance in 6-2 victory over crosstown rival Roger Williams. The Seahawks have earned the #4 seed in the upcoming CCC Field Hockey Championship tournament.
Tepper earns player of the week honors for the second time this season (September 2); she and classmate Marissa Gagnon (Smithfield, R.I.) have both been honored with the weekly offensive honor while freshman Brooke Tolley (Brookside, N.J.) earned a rookie of the week accolade.
The Seahawks (13-6; 6-6 CCC) have posted second-most wins in a season in program history.
