SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - Salve Regina University field hockey rides a two-game win streak into its next Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) game (Tue., October 8 at 7 p.m. against Western New England; Gaudet Field in Middletown, R.I.).

Seahawk freshman forward Courtney McMorrow (Montclair, N.J.) was an offensive contributor in both of the victories last week. McMorrow scored the lone goal against defending CCC champion Endicott College for the 1-0 win on Wednesday. Later in the week, the freshman added another goal in a 4-2 CCC victory over visiting Roger Williams.

Salve Regina now owns a 4-1 conference record, and is tied with Gordon College for second in the league standings, just one game behind University of New England. The Scots feature the CCC defensive player of the week (Anna Bury) while the Nor'easters are unbeaten in league play thanks to a six-goal week for senior Hannah Tavella, the offensive player of the week.
