Salute, Sylvia named to D3football All-East region team

NEWPORT, R.I. - John Salute (Mahwah, N.J.) and Matt Sylvia (East Greenwhich, R.I.) of the Salve Regina University football team have been named to the D3football.com All-East Region team.

"What an honor for John and Matt," said head coach Kevin Gilmartin. "With John becoming the Commonwealth Coast Conference Defensive Lineman, Defensive Player of the Year, and Matt being second in the nation with Interceptions per game, it is truly well deserved.  It has been our privilege and honor to coach them this year and an absolute enjoyment for everyone to watch them play this year!"
