Salute, Sylvia earn All-New England honors

Cambridge, Mass. – Thirty-one players representing 22 different teams have been named to the 2018 New England Football Writers College Division All-New England Team.

Among the 31 were Salve Regina University's John Salute (Mahwah, N.J.) and Matt Sylvia (East Greenwich, R.I.). 

Northeast-10 Conference runner-up University of New Haven, Eastern Collegiate Football Conference champion Husson University and Commonwealth Coast Conference tri-champion Endicott College each had three selections to lead the team. New England Small College Athletic Conference titlist Trinity College, Commonwealth Coast Conference tri-champion Salve Regina University and Westfield State University had two honorees each. Players from 16 additional colleges and universities rounded out the team.

The Division II Northeast-10 Conference and in Division III the Massachusetts State College Athletics Conference led the way with six selections each. The Commonwealth Coast Conference, the Eastern Collegiate Football Conference and the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference each had five picks. The New England Small College Athletic Conference finished with four honorees.
