CCC Football Offensive Rookie of the Week: Joey Mauriello

NEWPORT, R.I. - The Commonwealth Coast Football has selected Salve Regina University freshman running back Joey Mauriello (Colts Neck, N.J.) as its Offensive Player and Rookie of the Week (Oct. 22 - 18).

Mauriello rushed 14 times on Saturday, October 27, for 177 yards in Salve Regina's 33-10 win over the University of New England. His longest rush went for 77 yards and a touchdown. The score was one of two on the day.

Mauriello currently leads the league in yards (801) and yards per game (100.1).

Salve Regina (5-3, 3-1 CCF) hosts Nichols College on Saturday, November 3 at 12 p.m., for the Seahawks final home game of the regular season.
