NEWPORT, R.I. – The Salve Regina University football team will once again hold its annual "Be the Match" bone marrow registry drive sponsored by the National Bone Marrow Donors Program and the Rhode Island Blood Center on Thursday, April 25, from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m., inside the Rodgers Recreation Center on the Salve Regina campus.

IRVING, Texas - The National Football Foundation & College Hall of Fame (NFF) announced today the members of the 2019 NFF Hampshire Honor Society, which is comprised of college football players from all divisions of play who each maintained a cumulative 3.2 GPA or better throughout their college careers.

 NEWPORT, R.I. - One hundred eleven student-athletes were named to the Commonwealth Coast Football (CCC Football) Academic All-Conference Team as announced by the league office on Thursday afternoon. Salve Regina University had 18 members of its football team make the squad.

NEWPORT, R.I. - Salve Regina University football junior Brandon O'Neill (Madison, Conn.) earned a selection to the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) All-District® Team.

Joey Mauriello finishes his first season as a Seahawk with 1,080 rushing yards; the first Salve Regina  freshman to eclipse the season milestone and the first 1,000-yard rusher since Sam Pascale in 2016.

BRIDGEWATER, Mass. – Junior cornerback Chris Easter (Poughkeepsie, N.Y.) earned Most Valuable Player honors to lead the Bridgewater State University football team to a 34-19 victory over visiting Salve Regina University in the New England Bowl on Saturday afternoon at Swenson field.

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Commonwealth Coast Football (CCC Football) announced the 2018 All-Conference Teams ad major award winners on Tuesday (Nov. 13) morning. All seven CCC Football teams had student-athletes honored on this year's list.

NEWPORT, R.I. - The Commonwealth Coast Football has selected Salve Regina University junior kicker Angelo DiSanto (North Reading, Mass.) as its Special Teams Player of the Week (Nov. 5 - 11).

Goode had two interceptions and two pass breakups in the Seahawks 47-34 win over Endicott.

BEVERLY, Mass. - The Salve Regina University football team topped 40 points for the second straight week, downing Endicott College 47-34 in a shootout at Hempstead Stadium in the final game of the regular season Saturday afternoon.

NEWPORT, R.I. - Salve Regina University sophomore wide receiver Danny Hoffmann (Trumbull, Conn.) caught four passes for 69 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Seahawks to a 47-14 triumph over visiting Nichols College in Commonwealth Coast Football (CCC) action at Toppa Field on Saturday afternoon.

NEWPORT, R.I. – For the second time this year a Salve Regina University football player is helping to save a life. Junior offensive lineman Patrick McGroarty (East Northport, N.Y.) will miss the final two games of his season because he is donating bone marrow to a patient in need.

Joey Mauriello rushed for two touchdowns and 177 yards in the Seahawks 33-10 victory over UNE.
