NEWPORT, R.I. - Salve Regina University football junior Brandon O'Neill (Madison, Conn.) earned a selection to the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) All-District™ Team.

O'Neill notched 32 tackles, nine for a loss of 54 yards while forcing a fumble, had 5.5 sacks, broke up a pass, and intercepted a pass in 2017. He ranked third in the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) for sacks. O'Neill currently holds a 3.74 GPA while studying Business Administration.

"Brandon has been a leader for us all season," said head coach Kevin Gilmartin. "Obviously this award shows his greatness isn't just on the field, but in the classroom as well."

He advances to the national ballot for the first time where a handful of his predecessors landed before earning the highest honor in Division III athletics.
