CCC Football Defensive Player of the Week: Haiden Pereira

NEWPORT, R.I. - Salve Regina University football junior Haiden Pereira (Hopkinton, Mass.) has won the Commonwealth Coast Football Defensive Player of the Week award. It is the third straight week that a Salve Regina player has garnered this honor.

Pereira and the Salve Regina defense held Dean scoreless in a 27-0 win on Saturday. Pereira also contributed to the scoring with a 36-yard pick-six to go along with six solo tackles.

Salve Regina (3-0) will next travel to face Western Connecticut State on Saturday, September 23 at 5 p.m.
