NEWPORT, R.I. - Salve Regina University director of athletics Jody Mooradian bestowed dozens of awards to student-athletes and staff on Friday evening, including the department's female and male athletes of the year - senior Amber Cody (Pawling, N.Y.) of field hockey, and junior Blake Wojtala (Trenton, Mich.) of men's ice hockey.

NEWPORT, R.I. - Salve Regina University football senior Nico Aronson (Wayne, N.J.) has been named a Third-Team center on the D3Football.com All-East Region Team.

NEWPORT, R.I. - The Salve Regina University football team has placed 14 players on the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) All-Conference team with two players taking home major awards. Senior center Nico Aronson (Wayne, N.J.) was named Offensive Lineman of the Year while senior running back James Dawson (Oradell, N.J.) earned the Hal Chambers Award (Senior Scholar Athlete).

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – In a showdown between two of the three remaining teams with undefeated records in Commonwealth Coast Football (CCC Football) play, Western New England University came away with a 35-26 victory over Salve Regina University on Saturday afternoon at Golden Bear Stadium.

NEWPORT, R.I. - Salve Regina University football had a season-high 541 yards total offense, led by seniors Danny McDermott (Franklin, Mass.) [321 yards passing] and Jake Gelb (Charlton, Mass.) [156 yards rushing], to defeat visiting Endicott College, 41-14, in a Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) matchup at Toppa Field.
