NEFC Special Teams Player of the Week: James Dawson

NEWPORT, R.I. - Salve Regina University football junior James Dawson (Oradell, N.J.)  has won the Special Teams Player of the Week for the New England Football Conference (NEFC).

Dawson started the scoring for the Seahawks, running a kick-offback 80 yards to give the Seahawks the lead in the first quarter versus Maine Maritime. He added a second return of 25 yards as well as rushing for 124yards on the day as the Seahawks scored 45 straight points on their way to a 45-12 victory.

Salve Regina (8-1, 6-1 NEFC) will host Framingham State in the 2016 New England Bowl this weekend, November 19 at 12 p.m. at Gaudet Field.
