• LAST TIME OUT FOR SRU: Senior quarterback Brandan Basil completed 10-20 passes for 282 yards and five touchdowns, matching his career game high and program record, in a 52-14 victory over Nichols College.
The Bison walked away empty handed on a missed field goal after a 16-play 67 yard drive to open the game. The Seahawks only needed one play to find the endzone when Basil hit senior Chris Caron over the middle for a 71 yard touchdown on a catch and run. The Bison would tie the game 7-7 but again the Seahawks only took two plays to go 75 yards. This time David Mavilia scampered 54 yards to the endzone to put the Seahawks up 14-7, setting the tone for the day that the Bison would control time of possession, but could not keep up with the Seahawks big plays.
• THE SERIES: This will be the 23rd meeting between Salve Regina and MIT. The Seahawks own a 16-6 record in the all-time series. The Seahawks are 5-2 in the last seven meetings, including a 56-27 victory in Boston, Mass. last season.

Overall for the game, Patterson finished 3-for-3 in field goals for WNE as he also hit a 33-yard attempt. WNE also added three rushing touchdowns for the game.
MIT sophomore Eddy Garcia-Montes was the team's leading receiver with four receptions, while senior Anthony Emberley and junior Mitch Turley each finished with a team-best 12 total tackles.
