NEWPORT, R.I. – Salve Regina University football head coach Kevin Gilmartin announced his captains for 2015 – Alex Hulme (Hopkinton, Mass.) and Danny Ives (Madison, Conn.).

"The players picked these two men as their captains because they epitomize everything that we want out of a Salve Football player," said Gilmartin. "Not only are they outstanding football players, but they lead as champions off the field as well; in the classroom (both consecutive members of Academic All Conference) and around the community.  We couldn't be prouder of these Captains and we are sure they will continue to lead us in the right direction."

Hulme had a breakout season in 2014 registering career highs in catches (68), yards (831), and touchdowns (11). Hulme led the team in receptions and yards and was second in touchdowns behind Matthew Traynor. Hulme also had an outstanding season returning kicks. Hulme returned 16 kicks for 507 yards and a 31.7 average.

Ives has led the Seahawks in tackles in back-to-back seasons in 2013 and 2014. Ives totaled 87 tackles with 54 solo tackles last season.
