Three Seahawks to play in Globe Bowl

ALLENTOWN, Pa. – Three members of the Salve Regina University football team will be taking part in the inaugural 2015 Globe Bowl and fifth National Pro Day set for Allentown, Pa., with scouts from the USA and abroad - seniors Matt Conroy (Philadelphia, Pa.), Phil Terio (Trumbull, Conn.), and Steven Wilken (Ringwood, N.J.)

Conroy had 48 total tackles as well as a team leading three interceptions for 159 yards and a touchdown. Conroy's biggest performance came against Coast Guard on November 8. Conroy picked off passes on back-to-back Bears' possessions to help Salve Regina complete a come-from-behind victory.

In 2014 Terio recorded 51 tackles, 39 solo, and one interception that was returned 85 yards for a touchdown. Terio ranks first in program history in both interception return yardage (399) and interceptions returned for touchdowns (five).

Wilken set season records for pass completions (211) and passing yards (2,438) in 2014. He had already surpassed his previous record of 23 passing touchdowns in a season, set in 2013, and raised the new record total to 31 with his five TD passes in Salve Regina's 48-21 ECAC Northeast Bowl Championship win over Norwich University. Wilken ranks number one in pass completions (566), passing yards (7,121), and passing touchdowns (74) in program history.

The inaugural 2015 Globe Bowl presented by the National Bowl event company is officially set to be played at Salisbury High School football stadium in Allentown, Pa., on Sunday April 12, 2015, at 10:30 a.m. with practices at Hokey AA's Bob Warke Field in Whitehall, Pa., starting April 10.

The Globe Bowl is the only post-season Spring College Football all-star game consisting of top All-American and All-Conference seniors from FCS, D2, D3, and NAIA schools. The Globe Bowl organizers are responsible for the elite NFL scouted National Bowl and FCS Bowl in Miami at FIU attended by over 10 NFL teams and 40 total scouts. The Globe Bowls focus is a global game focused on other leagues besides the NFL in the USA and abroad.
