Wilken earns NEFC Player of the Week

NEWPORT, R.I. – Salve Regina University quarterback Steven Wilken (Ringwood, N.J.) has won the Offensive Player of the Week award for the New England Football Conference (NEFC).

Despite the Seahawks' 36-32 loss to William Paterson, Wilken accounted for five touchdowns. Setting a school record for completions (27) and passing yards (389), Wilken completed 60% of his passes for three touchdowns. He also rushed six times for two scores and averaged over six yards per carry.

Through three games for the Seahawks, Wilken has passed for 738 yards on 65 completions at a 56% completion percentage. Wilken has also rushed for 64 yards and three touchdowns.
