Polar Bears walk off with 11-10 win

AUBURNDALE, Fla. - Ohio Northern University scored twice in the bottom of the ninth to walk off with an 11-10 win over Salve Regina University in non-league action at Lake Myrtle Park in Aburndale, Fla.

Both teams had four-run leads that slipped away. Colton Eremian (Boca Raton, Fla.) tripled in Dylan Ketch (Clinton, Conn.) before an out was recorded in the first frame. Ketch had an RBI single in the third inning. The Seahawks (1-2) added three runs in the fourth including Zack Smith (New Canaan, Conn.) singling in Ketch for a 5-1 lead.

Phil Buckingham singled in Will Davis for the Polar Bears (4-2) in the bottom of the fourth before erupting for seven in the fifth, to take a 9-5 advantage.

One swing of Tristan Dacey's (Wyckoff, N.J.) bat got two of those runs back in the sixth as the senior launched his first homer of the season to deep right center.

Ketch's RBI single in the seventh made it a one-run game before Anthony Cieszko (Woodcliff Lake, N.J.) doubled down the left field line to put the Seahawks back on top in the eighth.

A sac fly tied the score at 10-10 in the ninth but extra innings were avoided when C. Thomas singled to the right side for the game-winner.
