Summary
NEWPORT, R.I. - Salve Regina University senior Alex Perry (No. Attleboro, Mass.) slugged a pair of two-run homers and drove in six runs as the top-seeded Seahawks bested the No. 4 Gulls of Endicott College, 17-5, in Game 3 action of the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) baseball championships at Reynolds Field in Newport. Endicott (25-15) had a 15-3 victory over No. 5 Leopards of Wentworth Institute of Technology earlier in the day on the Seahawk campus. The Gulls and Leopards (13-17) will meet tomorrow on Reynolds Field in an elimination game (11 a.m.) with the winner facing the unbeaten Seahawks (24-13) in a pod final (2:30 p.m.) of the double-elimination tournament. An "if necessary" game would be played Monday (3:30 p.m.) at Salve Regina.

Series and Streaks
Salve Regina has won nine straight against Endicott, a streak that started with the final two games of the 2016 CCC Championships. The Seahawks now lead the all-time series, 32-27.

  1. Salve Regina senior Alex Perry (No. Attleboro, Mass.) hit his seventh and eighth home runs of the season, 23rd and 24th of his career, and is now tied for second-most all-time with Ryan Holleran '03, just two behind the all-time leader, Daryl Murtha '04 (26).
  2. Salve Regina freshman Anthony Cieszko (Woodcliff Lake, N.J.) had three singles and scored three runs.
  3. Salve Regina freshman Dustin Siqueira (Trumbull, Conn.) drove in three runs on two hits.
