NEWPORT, R.I. - Salve Regina University baseball produced four All-New England players on the New England Intercollegiate Baseball Association (NEIBA) All-Star Team - junior pitcher Jimmy Fitzgerald (Canton, Mass.), freshman pitcher Patrick Maybach (Saunderstown, R.I.), junior infielder John Militano (Miller Place, N.Y.), and junior catcher Christian Vargas (Melbourne, Fla.) - announced today in conjunction with the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA).

NEWPORT, R.I. - Salve Regina University pitcher Patrick Maybach (Saunderstown, R.I.) earned Rookie of the Year honors for the All-New England team announced by D3Baseball.com, and was joined on the all-region team by fellow Seahawk catcher Christian Vargas (Melbourne, Fla.).

HARWICH, Mass. - Salve Regina University senior righty Cory Poplawski pitched his second straight complete game and his first shutout of the season (5-0) to help the Seahawks defeat Arcadia University in an elimination game of the NCAA New England Regional hosted in Harwich, Mass. With the win, Salve Regina advances to play against Babson College (8 p.m.) tonight.

HARWICH, Mass. – Junior Ryan Arena (Yorktown Heights, N.Y.) singled in the tying and go ahead run of the game in the bottom of the eighth as Babson College came from behind to defeat Salve Regina University 5-4 in an elimination game of the 2017 NCAA Division III New England Baseball Regional at Whitehouse Field.

HARWICH, Mass. -- Junior Alex Perry (North Attleboro, Mass.) went 2-for-4 with three runs scored and three RBI as Salve Regina University defeated Penn State-Berks 12-4 in the first elimination game of the 2017 NCAA Division III New England Baseball Regional Championship Friday morning at Whitehouse Field.

HARWICH, Mass. - Senior Jake Weiss (Irvine, Calif.) and sophomore Brian McHale (Ramsey, N.J.) combined for seven hits and seven RBI as fifth-seeded Babson notched a 14-3 victory over fourth-seeded Salve Regina in opening round play of the 2017 NCAA Division III New England Baseball Regional Championships Thursday morning at Whitehouse Field.

Top-seeded Salve Regina University baseball got a dominant pitching performance from junior lefty Jimmy Fitzgerald (Canton, Mass.) in the final game of its three-team pod in the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Championships, and eliminated No. 5 seed Nichols College with a 10-0 decision in the second of two games with the Bison at Reynolds Field on Monday.
