Four Seahawks highlight NEIBA Division III All-New England Teams

NEWPORT, R.I. - Salve Regina University baseball produced four All-New England players on the New England Intercollegiate Baseball Association (NEIBA) All-Star Team - senior outfielder Ryan Kelly (Waldwick, N.J.), sophomore first baseman Alex Perry (No. Attleboro, Mass.), and freshmen Tristan Dacey (Wykoff, N.J.) and Zack Smith (New Canaan, Conn.).

NEWPORT, R.I. - Salve Regina University outfielder Zack Smith (New Canaan, Conn.) earned Rookie of the Year honors for the All-New England team announced by D3Baseball.com, and was joined on the all-region team by fellow Seahawks Tristan Dacey (Wyckoff, N.J.) and Alex Perry (No. Attleboro, Mass.).

Salisbury eliminates Salve Regina in NCAA second round

MOOSIC, Pa. - Salve Regina University baseball trailed by three in its final at bat before scoring a run, placing the tying run on base, and bringing the game-winning run to the plate, but Salisbury University held on for a 5-3 victory to eliminate the Seahawks from the NCAA Division III Championships Mid-Atlantic Regional at PNC Field.

St. John Fisher edges Salve Regina, 6-5, in NCAA opener

MOOSIC, Pa. (May 18, 2016) - Commonwealth Coast Conference Champion (CCC) Salve Regina dropped its opening game of the NCAA Division III Mid-Atlantic Regional, 6-5, to St. John Fisher. The Seahawks will return to action tomorrow (May 19) at 1:15 p.m. as they take on Salisbury in an elimination game.

NEWPORT, R.I. - Western New England University baseball scored 15 runs in first two innings of game one, and the go-ahead run in extra innings of game two, to sweep Salve Regina University in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) regular season finale for both teams. Golden Bears (28-9; 13-3 CCC) earn the top seed in playoffs starting on Thursday, while the Seahawks (21-15-1; 10-6 CCC) take the fourth seed and will be on the road at third-seeded Nichols College to start the postseason.
