SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - The Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) recognizes Salve Regina University senior starting pitcher Vincent Roth (Pleasant Valley, N.Y.) with its Pitcher of the Week honor for baseball.

Pitcher of the Week - The lefty Roth opened his 2014 season with a three-hit, complete game shutout of Coast Guard. In the 4-0 victory, the third of four straight wins to open the season for the Seahawks, Roth worked seven innings. The senior allowed only a pair of singles in the first inning and a single in the fourth, while walking one and striking out five. Roth ended the game by retiring the final eight batters he faced.

Salve Regina (4-1) faces St. Lawrence in Fort Myers, Fla., on Wednesday before finishing the spring break trip with with doubleheaders against Fredonia State and Swarthmore on Thursday and Friday, respectively. All five games will be broadcast live on the Seahawk baseball channel on Ustream.tv from Fort Myers.
