Oberg Trophy

Summary

Saturday, October 21:

Light wind all morning led to an hour of postponement after Races 1B and 1C. Breeze filled in from the west and 6 races were completed in each division, ending around sunset. Two protests resulting in 2 DSQs.

Sunday, October 22:

No wind in the morning. Postponed until 11:45 when the breeze filled from the east. Four races were completed in each division in typically shifty Charles conditions.

Too many protests were filed, resulting in two DSQs and causing two RAFs.

Big thanks to Northeastern Coach Jonathan Farrar for running a great regatta, to all the coaches who heard protests, to all the Huskies who helped out on the dock and mark-boats, and the MIT Dock Staff for keeping everything going smoothly.

Congrats to Dartmouth for winning the 2017 Fall Oberg.

Score history

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.

The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
